Shipping, Returns & Refunds

At Lil’Birdie Boutique we hope that you love your purchase as much as we loved picking it and shipping it to you, however we understand that shopping online doesn’t always give you the touch and feel experience that you get in store so we will happily offer you an online store credit or exchange as long as items are returned to us within 14 days of purchase. However, please be aware of the following:

Please also note that shipping costs of your order are non-refundable. This applies to any shipping costs incurred on the original order, as well as the return shipping for refunds or exchanges. Any extra shipping and handling charges to return the item remain the responsibility of the customer.

To organise a return please contact lilbirdiewudinna@gmail.com to inform us of your intention to return your item/s. Please ensure you provide your name, receipt number/amount, date of purchase and details on how you would like us to assist you with your purchase (exchange or store credit)

We reserve the right to refuse any returned item we believe is not of merchantable quality and/or has been worn, washed, altered (E.g. Garments soiled with makeup or tanning products will not be accepted). Returned items must also be in their original packaging and have the original labels/tags.

We do not offer returns on some of our items, these include:

  • Gift Cards
  • Sale items
  • Jewellery
  • Fragrances & Skin Care
  • Homewares

If you wish to return an item, the shipping of that item back to us is your responsibility and therefore any loss or damage of the items is considered the customers responsibility. Ensuring we receive that item within 14 days is also your responsibility, All refunds are issued through the original payment method.

Shipping options
We offer standard shipping within Australia on all Women's and Children's Fashion orders. Postage on all other items will be calculated based on weight and whether standard or express postage is selected at the checkout.

Unfortunately, bulky and oversized items are not able to be posted via Australia Post. Please select instore pick up only where it states the item is unable to be shipped in the description. If you would like us to give you a quote for freight on a bulky or oversized item, please email us with your order to enquire at lilbirdiewudinna@gmail.com

Examples of bulky and oversized items could be furniture, large artwork/wall hangings, heavy vases/pots and similar items.

Wudinna (Our location) is outside of Australia Post’s next day delivery network and as such express delivery will usually take 2-3 business days to arrive. If you have selected standard shipping, delivery will generally take 5 – 7 business days to arrive.

 

Packing and shipping
We are as excited as you for your order and because of this we will work our hardest to package up and post your fabulous items within 24hours of purchase. Orders will be dispatched Tuesday-Friday (except public holidays),  If we don’t manage to do this though, there is no need to panic, your order will be out the door on the next business day.

During peak trading times, sale periods or Covid related interruptions to our business, there may be some delays. In these instances, we will do our best to communicate with our customers any delays to packing and shipping.  

 

Refund policy

We want you to love your purchase from us but in the unlikely event that you don’t, DON’T STRESS! We’ve got you covered. Please email us on lilbirdiewudinna@gmail.com

All returns & exchanges must be filed within 14 days from purchasing. 

We offer either a refund or store credit on full priced items which are returned. Please include your name, invoice number and the item you would like to return. We do not offer returns/refunds on jewellery or accessory items (eg necklaces & earrings) for hygiene reasons. 

If your purchase becomes damaged or broken over a short period of time, please contact us. We are not required to replace or exchange any items which have been mistreated or damaged over a wearing period of time. This is in accordance with the Consumer Affairs Laws in Australia.
